The Mission of the Richland Ashland Counties Critical Incident Stress Services (C.I.S.S.), is to enhance the quality of life in our respective counties. By encouraging the advancement of educational and direct support programs focused on critical incident management for emergency service personnel.
Our ultimate goals are to minimize the impact of distressing critical incidents on our personnel exposed to them and to speed up the recovery time from those events before harmful stress reactions have a chance to damage the performance, careers, health and families of emergency services personnel.
The duties with C.I.S.S. is to have a peer support person available when Law Enforcement personnel have been involved in a critical incident, to assist mental health personnel with debriefings and defusing in that Law Enforcement group.
